Good morning, beloved,
I’m hearing the birds singing this morning! It’s a good morning!
I couldn’t leave Peter behind yesterday. He has so much more to say to me. I need to keep going with him today. 🙂
11Thus there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
(Remember that list, if you don’t scroll on down and review from yesterday…)
12So I intend always to remind you about these things, although indeed you know them and are firm in the truth that [you] now [hold].
(I reflect so often on what a different man Peter is now than in the gospels…He is a shepherd as was his Rabbi. He is a reflection of his Rabbi. Jesus changed him and refined him into who HE was to be for the kingdom…a fisher of men. Peter had no idea. And now he is the encourager, the leader, the beacon..)
13I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle (tent, body), to stir you up by way of remembrance,
14Since I know that the laying aside of this body of mine will come speedily, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.
(In the end of John 21, Jesus told Peter 18I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, when you were young you girded yourself [put on your own belt or girdle] and you walked about wherever you pleased to go. But when you grow old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will put a girdle around you and carry you where you do not wish to go.
19He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. And after this, He said to him, Follow Me!)
15Moreover, I will diligently endeavor [to see to it] that [even] after my departure (decease) you may be able at all times to call these things to mind.
Keep bringing the Word back to your mind. Keep holding onto the truth. Don’t allow Satan to gain a foothold. Keep singing. Keep the truth. 🙂 Keep praying on…
