Good morning, beloved,
It’s so good to hear worship music this morning (I am loving Pandora…) . I have my feet on a warm dog. A warm cuppa coffee. My husband sits in a chair next to me..quietly abiding. The picture of the day…the Mona Lisa…I cannot speak to her with any graciousness but I also look at this picture and wonder. Do you?
Well, today Joshua should be able to call and get results for his blood work from the neurosurgeon. So we leave that in God hands. (I’m sure I’ll be trying all day to take that back. Sure would love your prayers…) I lost my phone on Monday. So if you have tried to call me..Ahem. I need to cancel it today and hope I get a new one very soon. Well, actually, Thursday…sigh. A new phone is coming…the wrinkles of life! We all have them. I shut my hand in the window last night. I start crying and life is miserable in every way. Wow, really? How did I climb on that freight train? ( See, you are not alone..)
So, I go back to the Word of God. I go back to the comfort and knowledge of His love. First, get up and dance a little…
God is all we need. And when we come to the realization, the beautiful revelation that He is all we need. 🙂
13I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in [a]the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, [b]yes, eternal life.
14And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), Helistens to and hears us.
15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.
Why the colors? Well, this is the Precepts is coming out in me…but I wanted to show you how John has some certain themes running through this section.
He hears us. He listens to us. Believe my friends.
Pray on.
