Good morning, beloved,
I was captured by this picture this morning…the animal captured in a posture of praise..I am listening to David Crowder and his song…Wholly Yours…look at the words…
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy, holy God
So here I am, all of me
Finally everything
Wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly Yours
You know that your breathing is an act of worship, right? đ
And then yesterday, my Noah came rushing up to me to share a song he heard the night before at his youth group..you’ve got to hear it too.
That just might be my new favorite song. WOOHOO! đ Play that loud!
Well, I just read another wonderful book, The Color of Rain by Michael and Gina Spehn..could NOT put the book down. You need a story of hope and redemption? Mercy..here’s your book! I love my library…I actually went in to write a note thanking them for their new Christian books. It’s really quite lovely.
Anyway, I wanted to get back to something I started the last week with who we are in Christ. Our identity. (Scroll down my blog if you need a refresher to May 4th…) I’m using the website www.persevering.org. đ
- I am confident that God will perfect the work that He began in me. Philippians 1:66 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. It is good to look at this one and remember some days, isn’t it? Remember, God isn’t finished with me yet. God isn’t finished my kids. My family. You fill in the blanks. đ Perfecting, developing and bringing it to full completion…good word…
- I am a citizen of heaven. Philippians 3:20-2120 But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we [f]earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,21 Who will [g]transform and fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself. Glory! We get full of earth and full of the day-to-day stuff and forget that we are only temporary residents here. Verses like these and the books I’ve read lately are reminding me that God is steering me heaven-bound, transforming me until a body of His glory..you too, beloved.
Pray on, beloved. Pray on…
