Good morning beloved,
Sometimes it is just good to pause and sit midst His beautiful creation. I saw this picture and it caught my eye. The dull and the bright intermixed both absolutely stunning. Looking out my window I see green leaves, sun streaming through the windows, I hear birds, and I am reminded of He as Creator God. Friends call to check in with me or text me saying they are praying and it is the hand of God moving me with love. When the green, the vibrant colors of summer and spring are gone, He still brings beauty and loveliness but it is like the bird in this photo, you have to be looking. To see this little guy’s bright eyes, the little feet, the body…and remember God is His Creator. When it is dark in our lives, drab with stress and overwhelming circumstances, holding onto His strong right arm, remembering the brightness of joy, Jesus’ redemptive work, the blood..To remember He reigns always.
4 Then called I upon the name of the Lord: O Lord, I beseech You, save my life and deliver me!
5 Gracious is the Lord, and [rigidly] righteous; yes, our God is merciful.
6 The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He helped and saved me.
7 Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For You have delivered my life from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling and falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
10 I believed (trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God), and therefore have I spoken [even when I said], I am greatly afflicted.
In the midst, how are you going to hold onto Him? How are you going to keep on? I have determined necessity of His Word all over my house. Music playing that worships our Creator God. When life just hurts, reading His Word in full context..
I am reading Liz Curtis Higg’s book on Ruth. What a treasure to end my day with..
Pray on, beloved. Pray on.
