1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [b]Himself.
2 He was present originally with God.
3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

Jesus. The Word: logos –
In John, denotes the essential Word of God, Jesus Christ, the personal wisdom and power in union with God, his minister in creation and government of the universe, the cause of all the world’s life both physical and ethical, which for the procurement of man’s salvation put on human nature in the person of Jesus the Messiah, the second person in the Godhead, and shone forth conspicuously from His words and deeds.
Note: A Greek philosopher named Heraclitus first used the term Logos around 600 B.C. to designate the divine reason or plan which coordinates a changing universe.
Feels right to begin the month we celebrate His birth with John’s words.
Eternal God. Part of the Trinity.
So, my thankfuls today…
8. I’m thankful for our library for hosting fun event for my kiddos.
9. I’m thankful for a hubby that drives me to said fun event, plays games with the kids and has a good time. (And knows when it is time to leave…)
10. I’m thankful for friends who pick up my kids to have play dates.

didn’t post yesterday, so here are my 6 for today.
7. Thankful for my precious kindred spirit boy-turning-man who had a 13th bday yesterday.
8. Thankful for incredible weather! No winter here yet! It’s been in the mid 60s for days.
9. Thankful for family game time (Catan – and no fights last night either!).
10. Thankful for time to talk to my husband.
11. Thankful for having a cold. Ugh. Even tho my head feels all pressured and miserable, it makes me slow down and remember I want to cuddle with my hubby and kids.
12. Thankful for happy kids exclaiming over their favorite Christmas ornaments this evening as we decorated the tree.
