Good morning, beloved,
Do you ever crave quiet? I do not mean a quiet in your surroundings (though at times…). I allude to a quiet found in your mind. This morning my brain is racing from thought to thought. As I sit here, pondering my keyboard, my brain races. I have music in the background but it feels more like another sound invading my mind. So silence comes.
I was wondering if you would like to join me on some other daily rituals. You are already giving thanks with Ann Voskamp’s Joy Dare . There are two people in your life that I am confident you know need prayer. Daily prayer. Battle fighting, sword-wielding prayer.
Your pastor and his wife. Revive Our Hearts has two free resources to daily remember them in prayer and to help us lift these soldiers up to Jesus, let’s start praying for them together. United in faith that…6 God began doing a good work in you, and I am ·sure [confident; persuaded] he will continue it until it is ·finished[completed; perfected] ·when Jesus Christ comes again [L on the day of Christ Jesus; C the final day of judgment and reward]. Philippians 1:6 EXB. This is a 30 day challenge found on ROH‘s website. Let’s jump in on the day corresponding with the month.
Pray that your pastor will be humble and authentic in his faith, not given to pride or hypocrisy. Pray that he will have pure motives and give God glory for every gain or victory. (Micah 6:8; Gal. 6:14; John 7:17-18; 1 Cor. 10:13) Revive Our Hearts
Pray that she will be a woman of prayer and worship, and that she will lead by
example—teaching women how to walk in a close relationship with the Father.
(1 Thes. 5:17; Acts 1:14a; Mark 1:35; Matt. 4:10; Titus 2:4-5) Revive Our Hearts
So join me, won’t you?
My thankfuls today:
