Today is not a question, but an invitation. Opening your eyes, you think of all you need to accomplish and all you have on your plate. Today, as I was thinking through it all my eyes fell on Matthew 11:25-30.
“At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure. All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires to reveal Him. “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.””

First, Jesus starts with worship. How often d I pray just the needs of those around me? rather, than begin with worship. begin with taking the focus off of me and placing it squarely where it belongs, with my hands raised in a broken hallelujah. teach my heart, Father. Consider your power, your majesty and your wisdom You know all that weighs on our hearts. You desire we come.
At times I do feel like a infant. Need . Need. Need. You have to make it simple for me. When i am thinking about all the things, rather you say, Come unto me.
You know already. you know what we all face. We read the news. We see. What i forget sometimes is you see more. You see all. You know all. You are all we need.
Teach me Lord. Teach me your gentleness in dealing with others and frankly, dealing with myself. Lord, I desire to be humble. I desire to long for the things of God and not be weighed down by what i have no control over.
You are my rest. You are our rest. Lord, I begin my day asking for your yoke. I lift my burdens and cares to your shoulders and we begin.

We learned a little about this on our lecture this week. Apparently in the time of Jesus, “yoke” referred to the entire collection of a rabbi’s teaching. Adds another dimension to the story!❤️❤️
