Sometimes, a day in my life is asking for help. It’s humbling, but it’s necessary. Here’s the thing, my friend. This number symbolizes a whole lot to me. I am showing all of you something I would love you not to know. Yet, Jesus knows, He has taken it upon Himself for me.
This is a number in line for a food pantry. I am asking for help. The question I finally had to arrive was this: what is getting in my way of asking for assistance? Pride? Fear? Fear of what?
Why do we resist asking for help from the people around us? Why do we struggle and fight to remain strong on our own?
In fact, do we even cry out to Jesus and ask Him to help us in our needs? Our needs? Not someone else’s. Our need. I realize we are very centric focused, but, I also realized this does not mean we ask the LORD for His bountiful presence to invade our lives.
I am learning every day, Bible, worship, pray, it is the air I breathe. I’m not perfect. Dang it. My mouth gets me in more trouble than I care to admit.
Here I am. Sitting at a food pantry. And it’s okay. I am at peace. I am doing the next thing and waiting on Him for His presence and His provision.
My question for you: what do you need to ask? Who do you need to ask for help? It requires humbleness. However, the blessings are infinite. Peace.
“So Jesus, again deeply moved within [to the point of anger], approached the tomb. It was a cave, and a boulder was lying against it [to cover the entrance]. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be an offensive odor, for he has been dead four days! [It is hopeless!]” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe [in Me], you will see the glory of God [the expression of His excellence]?” So they took away the stone. And Jesus raised His eyes [toward heaven] and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.”
