Monday. Monday. Monday.
Not an ordinary Monday in my book. The weekend? The weekend was good. The basement is free and clear of mold and slowly but surely we will put foam padding down in the basement so the kids can wrestle and be goof balls DOWN there.
Sunday was quiet. Saw my friend, Gwen, briefly. Then we had some intrepid friends come for a cancelled potluck…they didn’t get my email cancelling. It actually turned out to be a huge blessing to be with all of these people. It was so good to see the kids all playing together and enjoying each other’s company. And I gotta tell ya, you haven’t heard screaming until you get 17 children in a house.
Found my coffee (French press, naturally) and started in on my Bible reading and journaling. As I prayed and read through the Bible, I found myself getting embarassed by Ezekiel’s commentary of the Lord’s words to him. Yikes. (Chapter 17) Then to Revelation and Jesus opening the seven seals. So by the time I was on my way to work out with my Pilates machine, needless to say, I was a bit on the tense side. I was running a bit late so I chose the Tight on Time workout.
Sigh, my head met with one of the pull through bars and immediately my head started to bleed. So I used my shirt and haphazardly walked to the bathroom to view the blow…it wasn’t great so gee, smarty pants that I am, I walked downstairs to the sink, mind racing. I couldn’t think of anyone close to me. So I called 911…blood everywhere. They came and helped me and took my vitals. Thankfully they didn’t think I needed to be transported so I called my Dad to come.
He came and took me to Good Sam. Joshua met me there. And then we sat. For the next four hours we waited. I got seven exterior stiches and 1 interior stitch…the doctor thought I would be pleased. It’s in the shape of a lightening bolt. Sigh.
Came home and I have just been a slug. Napping. Figured out how to get a shower.
Pray for me, tho. My head hurts pretty bad. Well…I’ve had enough typing.
