Haha. You will have to read to the end what that has today with my writing today.
I’ve written this before, but it bears repeating. Time spent studying and reflecting and learning more about our God leaves less time to worry, fear, and run ahead of God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
“O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.”
Psalms 95:1-2 NASB1995

Let us sing. Let us shout joyfully. Let us come before Him with thanks. Why? He is our Lord, the rock of our salvation. We celebrate who He is.
“For the Lord is a great God And a great King above all gods, In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land.”
Psalms 95:3-5 NASB1995

More. He is a great God. Delineation from any other god. He alone is the great King. Let us be sure to remember that Israel asked for a human king.
“The Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them. Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day—in that they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. Now then, listen to their voice; however, you shall solemnly warn them and tell them of the procedure of the king who will reign over them.””
1 Samuel 8:7-9 NASB1995

Our God would be enough. And just so I don’t get all high and mighty against the Israelites, how often do I scheme and worry and fret over the future that our God has in his hands. He is in control. He is over it all.
So, David, when writing, he is King of Israel, and he even says, hey guys, worship the true King. The only wise God. He is over them all. He made it all. He is our Creator God.
“Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.”
Psalms 95:6-7 NASB1995

So, we worship, humbling ourselves before the mighty hand of God. He alone can save and protect and hold all of our days. However many there may be. I think of Him, how I may bless His name and my thoughts are replaced. In hard suffering, whether physical, spiritual, or mental, every thought I replace with God’s word and thinking about Him, is one less thought making me spiral.
When i become concerned over the little things, God interrupts, speaks in the little blessings. The minute details. I remember a conversation in a small group years ago, one of the men said, God doesn’t care about the little pieces of your life. And I have often thought about this when I pray for the little things.
Like a gift card to cover dog food for both by my son. His generosity reminds me that God sees all the little parts. He knows my thoughts. He knows where my eyes roam trying to find answers myself. So, I pause. And I give thanks for this. This little gift card reminds me of the truth, we are his. He will not let us fall.
