Good morning friends!
Praying this blessing over you today:
“For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” Philippians 4:8 AMP
I can’t speak upon our faithfulness to our God without first beginning with the faithfulness of our God! So please, watch this first..

You know how they are just some days that you have to wonder..how did I end up here? Yesterday was that kind of day.
I began the day in prayer asking the Lord for His glory to shine forth. After dropping Joshua off at work (we are down to one car), I realized how much I treasure this time we have together. Now, in the past when we’ve come up against the one car fun, I have been complaining and wishing for a car. This time? The Lord is working in our time that we have in that blessed car. And He let me see that. I came home to begin schoolwork with the children and without a hitch.
Until I went to switch laundry loads and realized that sewage was coming up from the drain. Ahem. School was immediately dropped. And we mobilized. And I called Joshua and brought him back home. I wasn’t facing that alone. The kids gathered up all the laundry. The landlord responded so quickly and the Roto-rooter guy came out quickly.
Off I went to the laundromat, first God provided a friend to take two children to CYT. So I dropped them off. My eldest offered to stay with me to help with the laundry. And then I realized I was out of laundry soap..off to the store. While in line, Noah just went up to the man behind us and offered his hand. (Joshua swears he’ll be a poliitician. All he’s missing is kissing babies.) And the man started up a conversation that was blessing for all of us. He is a Christian and when he realized that Noah and I were..he began to pour out his story. His wife has breast cancer that has metastasized. And would we pray?
At the laundromat, we had a great time together. And while there, one of the boys called me from Noah’s bball team and offered to pick him up so he could make practice. And I had all but given up on being able to get him there. God just handed that to me.
As I drove home, the Lord prompted me to praise. I turned on klove and there was a story by the morning guy..his daughter has cerebal palsy and he got a note that she bowled at school with a score of 85. His voice cracked and he cried out, “My daughter bowled!” I was humbled. My circumstances..my life..my stuff..I just had to praise Him!
Laundry finished I came home and put it all away. The laundry room was scrubbed by my Joshua. Our house is sitting better than it has in weeks. I had let the laundry get to monumental proportions and it was done and put away..(well, I admit our room is still a disaster). We had put something in the crock pot and…
I could go on. Do you see my response? That isn’t me. God is changing me. Because as I would begin to start to whine, the Lord each time would bring something to me to say. Ask I would begin to panic the prompting of my SOUL was really? What do you have to complain about?
Deutronomy 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live! 20 Choose to love the LORD your God and to obey him and commit yourself to him, for he is your life…http://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/deuteronomy/passage.aspx?q=deuteronomy+30:19-20
My faithfulness to Him is a response to Him. It is breath prayers. It is asking the Holy Spirit “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’http://bible.cc/acts/17-28.htm
My friends, may you pray for the Spirit of the Living God to fall fresh on your household this day. If I could brag on anyone about my day yesterday, it would be Jesus. And may that be your hearts cry for you and your family.
Here are the verses today for our prayer focus: Proverbs 3:
1MY SON, forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
2For length of days and years of a life [worth living] and tranquility [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these shall they add to you.
3Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart.
4So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man.
5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.
