First of all, I must thank you all for taking the time to read all of my requests and helping us so much with your prayers and words of encouragement. Joy.
We are staying home from church today with the kids having low grade fevers, coughs and runny noses. They all just need and want to rest. So Joshua and Noah are discussing all of the pros and cons of their fantasy football teams. We are going to have a quiet worship as a family after all have had tubbies.
Praises! Call My Name. By Third Day. Wow. I am so amazed how as the huge waves hit. I get in the car and that song always comes on the radio. No coincidence there. I don’t relate with the lonely parts of this song but just Call on His Name! So every name I can think of…I call on Him. Jehovah Roi (My God who sees me), Jehovah Rophe (My God who heals) are just two of the names…Abba (papa) I am reminded of His goodness and mercy that carries us through. And God provides! He provides His care. His sweet presence to cheer and to guide. He is our praise. Our church has been an incredible encouragement.
Next week is a big week for us. Noah starts his PT for his legs. Danny gets his inserts for his shoes to level out his leg that is shorter. Joshua is meeting with the podiatrist to hopefully help the pain in his legs, ankles, knees and back. He also meets with the doctor for a med check as well as to discuss other stuff. Danny’s speech therapy. We are trying so hard to find a optometrist that will work with us to get this vision therapy. It is so expensive and not covered by insurance! Ugh.
My Mom is home from the hospital and is recovering, slowly. Very slowly. She can’t move too much and she is weary from the pain. She really did a number on herself. It has been very good for her to have rest. She doesn’t do that, ever. She is always ON. especially for me. I love her for it but I believe this rest is good.
We are reading so many wonderful books this year together! We are now reading through Johnny Tremain and Sign of the Beaver. If you will believe it, I have never read Tremain…yet now I get to read all of these rich books. Danny is learning. It is a fight and a struggle to survive for him but he is a fighter. He keeps persisting. As we do more repetition, each day, he sees how far he has come. Noah is doing so well. We so enjoy our time together. Luke is nearly finished with the first Hooked On Phonics packet. woohoo! Ella and I enjoy reading her preschool books together. Her favorite, by far, is Amelia Bedelia. What a hoot. She is digesting so much wonderful literature. Lukey comes along for the ride as well. 🙂
I can feel the stress of life eating away, at times, at my life. So keep praying for us. We are praying for you.
