3 Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
Good morning, beloved,
I have a song in my head from a musical, Bye, Bye Birdie, running through my head this morning.
Grey skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face..
I just don’t think that is possible on my own strength. I know it’s not. I can’t put any of hope in what I see. I see chaos, I see frustration, I see…and so I arrive at the end of myself. I just have to ask the Lord to give me Jesus. Whether the skies clear up or they remain grey for awhile, God is still so very good. I lift my eyes to the heavens, for that is where my help comes from. I arrive at a place of complete surrender.
I know that behind those grey skies, the sun is shining.
Last night, my hubby called to report that the car died on his way home from Rush Hospital. 6 hours later, he was home. Oh, I had to look very hard for the Son last night. But I found Him, I found Him in a message by John Piper, God is most Glorified in Us When We are Most Satisfied in Him..I found Him in my Mother and eldest driving to get my hubby and son. I found Him in people responding and praying. I found Him in knowing Joshua’s car died at a car repair shop that can do the repairs today for a reasonable price. I find Him in worship music. I find Him in my kids’ humor and disposition.
But you know what? He found me. He finds YOU. He loves you and longs for you to love Him. Won’t you join me today in..
Pray on, pray on.
