Dear friends,
I ran out of coffee yesterday and didn’t pick any up at the store last night when I WAS THERE. So here I am at my early hour running over to Dunkin Donuts for coffee. On the way, I kept the radio off and asked the Lord to direct my day and if there was anything He wanted to say to me..and this song came in my head and it is my prayer for this day. (Well, that and future!)

Prayer focus: Future: Proverbs 16:9 (NASB)
The mind (inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding)
of man plans (to think, plan, esteem, calculate, invent, make a judgment, imagine, count)
his way(way, road, distance, journey, manner),
but the LORD(Jehovah = “the existing One”, the proper name of the one true God, unpronounced except with the vowel pointings of 0136)
directs(to be directed aright, be fixed aright, be steadfast (moral sense))
his steps. (Italicized comes from www.blb.org’s lexicon. It is the Hebrew translation.)
🙂 Breathe in. Breathe out. The Existing One is directing your spouse’s path, your path, your family’s path. He is fixing it aright. He is morally steadfast. He is trustworthy. You have a plan? Great. Have you laid it at the feet of the Existing One? Your judgements, plans, estimations need to be set free to Your Father. He can accomplish all that concerns you and your spouse today. Trust. Hope in Him.
Here is the rest of the section of Proverbs and then I have a prayer that I want to share so you have to read to the end to find it. 😉
Proverbs 16:
1THE PLANS of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue.
2All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart).
3Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
4The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and His own purpose–even the wicked [are fitted for their role] for the day of calamity and evil.
5Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.
6By mercy and love, truth and fidelity [to God and man–not by sacrificial offerings], iniquity is purged out of the heart, and by the reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord men depart from and avoid evil.
7When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8Better is a little with righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation and right standing with God) than great revenues with injustice.
9A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.
I found this set of verses in Psalm 18 that have become a sort of morning prayer and also a point of memory.
Psalm 143: 8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
9 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD!
I have fled to you for refuge.[a]
10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead me
on level ground!
11 For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life!
In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble!
12 And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies,
and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul,
for I am your servant.
That is my prayer! Pray on, sisters! Pray on! Much love, Cara
