My mom sends Bible verses out every morning to her kids and her grandkids. She posts them on social media. She hopes that it blesses those who read it. Recently, she sent verse was soothing, like a blanket and cup of hot coffee on a cold morning.
I haven’t done much work in Isaiah, I’ve read through it, listened to it, but not really studied. So jumping into Isaiah 46 isn’t bad, it’s similar to reading the middle portion of your friend’s email and trying to grasp what the rest of the email contained. So, what I learn, I am encouraged to read the whole book to have understanding of context, etc. Having said this, here are the verses.
““Listen to Me,” [says the Lord], “O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from your birth And have been carried [in My arms] from the womb, Even to your old age I am He, And even to your advanced old age I will carry you! I have made you, and I will carry you; Be assured I will carry you and I will save you. “To whom would you liken Me And make Me equal and compare Me, That we may be alike?”
Isaiah 46:3-5 AMP
https://bible.com/bible/1588/isa.46.3-5.AMPDo you ever allow the weight of the world to try to rest on your shoulders? My brain spins as I try to solve this problem, or that. I see my brain as the train station. There are many tracks that i could set my train upon. Each has worry and cares that I know not what to do. I can feel my heart race a bit when I allow myself to head down any set of tracks. rather than stop here.
Listen to me. It’s as though the LORD has placed his hands on either side of my face. Brought my head and eyes to meet His and He says, listen to me. All the frenzy of what concerns me today, stills. Listen to me. Look at the word I put in a bold font in the text from Isaiah.
Carry.
You have been carried. You are carried. You will be carried. There has never been a time where my faithful Father has not carried me. Birth to death, created by God and saved by God. There is none like our God. None. Let me share some verses that complement this truth.
“Who has performed and done this, Calling forth [and guiding the destinies of] the generations [of the nations] from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord—the first, and with the last [existing before history began, the ever-present, unchanging God]—I am He.’ ””
Isaiah 41:4 AMP
This is our God. Eternal. The great I am. These chapters in Isaiah ask questions. Isaiah 40:12 “who has measure the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand?“ or..
Isaiah 40:18 “With whom will you compare God? What likeness will you set up for comparison with him?”
Isaiah 40:28 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding.”
I am reminded that this little life of mine is but a blip. This will pass. In the span of eternal, there is no limit, there is no end. I have nothing to compare to our God.
“At the beginning You founded the earth; The heavens are the work of Your hands. Even they will perish, but You endure; Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them and they shall be changed. But You remain the same, And Your years will never end.”
Psalms 102:25-27 AMP

Creation knows his name. All that I see will someday be no more. There are changes all around me, all the time, yet God never changes. He is eternal and I have hope this life is not the end.
With chronic pain issues, for me, my focus can become centered on dealing with pain, thinking about pain, etc. Focused on me. these verses here call me to set my focus on the horizon, not the pain in front of me. It’s there either way, but with a horizon focus, i look up. I look out. I see life.
Yesterday, my son and I had fun and were laughing together. truly belly laughing. I realized when was the last time I laughed like this?
“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].”
James 1:17 AMP

I have good, great things in my life. I have gifts that are from my Father. I may be changing and growing, but I rest in the knowledge that God stays the same.
