God’s word is ·true [upright; virtuous], and everything he does is ·right [faithful]. He loves what is right and ·fair [just]; the Lord’s ·love[loyalty; covenant love] fills the earth.Psalm 33:4-5EXB
Good morning, beloved,
This is the way to open up my day. To declare!
What is God’s word?…it is true. upright. virtuous. I know God’s word is true.
Everything. EVERYTHING He does is right. faithful.
He loves what is right, fair and just.
His love? Yep, it fills the earth. His loyalty, His covenant love? The whole earth.
Me? I still need to go back to His Word to guide me in loving, living and surviving. It’s good to know deep, He is loyal. He is true. He is faithful.
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not ·jealous [envious], it does not brag, and it is not ·proud [arrogant; conceited; puffed up]. 1 Corinthians 13
My boy has been struggling so much these past few weeks. I have been praying, I know you all have been praying. I’ve started to talk with my boy about what are his triggers. What gets him so upset. When he can understand why he reacted, why he got upset, this helps me in coaching him. Things like he was nervous, he was hungry, he was not being heard. As we talk it through, each time I feel as though God is showing me my triggers.
When I can understand why I react, why I get upset, then God’s Spirit is alive coaching me. I am amazed to admit my reasons, my reactions are very similar to my boy. In the moment, God’s word flashes through my mind as we continue to memorize 1 Corinthians 13.

I get all worried, bothered, scared for my boy. And yes, there are good reasons, but this morning, in the quiet, I am reminded, I am still learning too. I’m going to dive in here with this verse. Come with me and let’s see what treasures God has in store for you and me.
Patient (makrothymeō)- to be patient in bearing the offenses and injuries of others, to be mild and slow in avenging, to be longsuffering, slow to anger, slow to punish
Kind (chrēsteuomai)- to show one’s self mild, to be kind, use kindness
Jealous (zēloō)– to be zealous, moved with jealousy
Brag (perpereuomai)– a self display, employing rhetorical embellishments in extolling one’s self excessively
Proud (physioō )-to be puffed up, to bear one’s self loftily, be proud
As I stare at these words, patient and kind seem to suggest to me a background position. Not a spotlight trained on you, love quietly comes in through supporting, upholding and bearing up. Working backstage.
Notice each of the negative qualities move you, me to center stage. The spotlight. Think on these things. Pray on these things. Part two coming up. 😉
Pray on. Pray on.
