Good morning, beloved,
Such a cold morning! Brrrrr…Walked the dogs this morning with my Dad and watched the sunrise. Watched the sun…RISE! We have the sun again. It is lovely to watch the sun cast its rays across the frost and snow. My brother and his family are here this weekend and we are enjoying the fellowship and laughter of family together. I am so grateful for family.
Thank you for all of your prayers on my behalf and my family’s behalf. I had a new type of injection in my neck with cortisone. Not fun. very painful, but yesterday was the first day I was able to play a dance game with my kids. I can’t remember the last time I was able to jump or dance without horrible effects. Praise God! I’m functioning and not in pain today. I’m so grateful for no pain.
After the injection, I must admit I was shaken and in much pain. As I lay there on the gurney, tears rolling down my face, I remembered what I wrote about in my blog. I remembered the gift of His words and they covered me like warm blankets. The gift of His Spirit that He was with me. I was not alone. Friends, that is the power of His word in our lives. If we allow Him to teach us, if we ask His word to be our guide, oh, friends, what a gift.
31 Jesus answered them, Do you now believe? [Do you believe it at last?]
32 But take notice, the hour is coming, and it has arrived, when you will all be dispersed and scattered, every man to his own home, leaving Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Do you know believe? Can you let go of the thoughts that filter through your mind that cause you to worry, have guilt…?
Just as Jesus said, He was never, ever alone. You, my dear readers, are never alone. All the teachings that we have from His Word, (remember clearly the Beatitudes), do not take the garbage the evil one throws at you as truth. Jesus said. Jesus SAID. Ergo, you can have perfect, perfect, wonderful, glorious peace. Know that you will have..tribulation, trials, distress, frustration…why do we allow ourselves to hear the lies?
Jesus has overcome the WORLD.
I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.
My thankfuls today:
80. A son who brightens at his Momma‘s touch still.
81. My brother’s tears over missing our Grandma..balm.
82. Reviewing this past year and seeing God’s hand in it all.
I need you to know how this blog has changed me this year. Now with writing my thankfuls each day, blessing upon blessing.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for praying. I would be so honored to pray for you. Please email me if I can.
Much love,
Cara
