I am think that titles for my blog are almost ridiculous but since I am teaching my eldest to write paragraphs and title them…maybe I should wait to title until after I’m done writing. LOL.
Well, it is a sunny day today. i am so pleased to have the sun. It helps my demeanor so much to have the sun. Oh, to move somewhere warm! So the latest and greatest in ourlives…
Well, I think our biggest blessing to date is watching Danny begin to thrive. He just read his first book today. It was one of those Bob books. He had to show Daddy what he did. Oh, his eyes just lit up. we were so excited. Yesterday was not good for remembering for him with school. i was getting discouraged and then today he came up to me with those books and was truly wanting to read. It was a wonderful break through.
On the flip side, Ella is having a difficult time with her new medicine. I couldn’t sleep last night so I was looking up the side effects of her new med, Trileptal. It gave me pause. She is up at her treatment dose now. Her mood swings are like a roller coaster. We are really bad or we are really good. It is sad when I am surprised by her doing what I ask without a fight. This is not normal Ella, but from what I am reading, acclamation to this med is like this. So that helps to hear that. Today, today is a good day. We are hosting two friends today. It is a blessing to all involved. I hope.
Noah is in heaven, figuratively speaking. He has seen three individual friends this week for long play dates. I love this because when it is time for school he gives it his all. His friend quotient is full and he throws himself into his chores, work, everything with gusto. I wish every week could be like this. He is excelling in his work. We have just finished work on Marco Polo. I need to look at who we are studying next..eh?
Luke, my Luke, is playing with the girls today. He loves it. He gets to be the father, the dance lead, the organizer…it is very cute to watch them all play together. Micaiah is here. He loves Micaiah. I was very thankful when Brian said okay to us taking her as well as Nathan. Luke is remembering his sounds for phonics. He is just passionate about Veggie Tales. God is truly bigger than the boogie man. He is watching over Luke. It has made a difference for this boy. His fears are beginning to fall away.
Joshua, my poor guy, is overwhelmed by it all. He is working so hard at work. Coming home to issues of bankruptcy, foreclosure, finding a house, seizures and getting very tired. So he is trying to work from home one day per week. That seems to be helping us all. So on the other hand, he is very conscious of his time with his kids. Praying over them all at night. He is a wonderful Dad and husband.
Today, I slept in. My husband gave me the morning to sleep in and drink coffee in bed. I even watched a little food network. OOOHHH. It was very nice. I am grateful. I didn’t sleep too hot last night so it was good to have the extra time.
Well, I’m going to sign off. Thanks for reading.
