“Watch out, brothers, so that there won’t be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart that departs from the living God. But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin’s deception. For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.”
Hebrews 3:12-14 HCSB

A friend asked me today, how are you doing? You seem sad. Tears fall easily these days. But what this says to me is, my friend knows me and sees me and by her asking, I know I am loved. In turn reminds me, my God sees me. My God knows what I need. Community does this. To be in one another’s lives so we see the joy and we see the sadness.
When we encourage one another, we draw one another into the fold. Reminding them. We don’t know (unless shared) what sin is crouching at their door, but by seizing an opportunity to care and pray, we may help a heart stay soft.
When we see another person hurting, we have an opportunity to remind them that they are a companion of the Messiah. Remind them to hold fast. Remind them we are praying.
Be that person today. But, if it is too much, I pray you know that I am praying for you. God sees you. Hold fast, dear one. God is with us.

Very good thoughts or me to hold on to. Thank you Cara. 🙂
I’ve tried many times to thank you, Cara, to leave you a note to say thank you for your beautiful words and thoughts that cause me to ponder my life and how to really count for Jim and to continue asking forgiveness and then seeking His guidance. You encourage me, my friend, and I thank you for your love, faith and testimony and your love of all us, for encouraging us and for giving us things to ponder how we can walk closer and show our love for one another through our prayers and words of encouragement for one another…always being aware of another’s needs.
Thank you, friend. All to Jesus. May we encourage one another as you have encouraged me right here.
