I’ve been puttering around the internet in pursuit of some tools to make memorizing easier for me and for some of my beloveds. I wanted to share with you a song that includes these verses, but couldn’t figure it out (not on youtube), so I want to direct you to this website. We have a couple of their CDs and I’ll never forget when all of my children could belt out Psalm 8 with no difficulty..and me as well.
I write a bunch on holding the Word of God in your heart. Keeping it close. No matter if you have children or not, what would it be for your walk with the Lord to stick a CD in your car and for the first couple of minutes each time you jump in, you listen to a Scripture memory CD until you have the song down. Don’t tell me you can’t memorize. I bet you can still sing (if you live in the Chicago land area) the Empire Carpet theme song. I bet you can sing the Oscar Mayer Wiener Theme Song still as well. Music can be a gift to us, not only in worship with hymns, but in keeping His Word close to our hearts.
May I suggest you make a revolution (Luke’s word instead of resolution)? 🙂
Check on Sing the Word website. Download a CD. They are having some sales right now. Or try Seeds Family Worship on youtube…another fabulous company who uses music to encourage memorization of Scripture.
