Hi friends and family!
We be looking to you for some prayer tonight. We are calling on His name, the mighty name of our Father for help and sustaining power. I feel like if I share all that is happening you might stop reading but I need this to get to you all so you can pray.
1. Joshua is in need of your prayers. He just started a med to control his cholestrol which is very, very high. He has started the process to lose some weight, exercise and change habits. He needs to.
2. Noah is needing to start Physical therapy on his legs again. I need to get all of this paperwork in to the place so he can start and so far, time has not been on my side. He was/is a toe walker and his legs, knees, ankles and feet are in bad shape. He also is having trouble with ingrown toenails that won’t heal.
3. Danny, as many of you know, broke his big toe weeks back. Last night, he feel on the same foot and it swelled up and this morning I took him to the doctor. It got xrayed and the doctors can’t be certain if it is a fracture or not because of the swelling. So he is in a shoe and ace bandage and it hurts him very much. He went to see a optometrist this past Saturday who was going to start vision therapy but his eyes are not tracking and focusing as they should. she recommends therapy each week with me. We need to call insurance to see if it is covered…if not, it is 130 bucks a time. Yet, I know this could really help, help, help him! The neurologist and his speech therapist both agree this would really help him. We need open doors. He is waiting for inserts for his shoes because he has one leg higher than the other and the podiatrist thinks this could be due to the seizures. Hopefully, this might help with his endurance, pain and strength. He should also start PT for his legs but we gotta take it one thing at a time.
4. Luke went to the doctor last Wednesday with severe pain in his abdomen. After a day at the hospital, they found that he was severely constipated. He is now doing so much better but it was a hard day for him and for me. Luke is doing so great in so many areas. I had no idea the struggles he was having in this department so now we are amending this. Ugh.
5. While we were getting ready to come out for Danny’s appointment today, my Dad called and my Mom was in the ER. Turns out after 8 hours in the ER, that she tore/ripped her hamstring muscle. She is in terrible pain and at the hospital as I type so they can control the pain with meds. We cry out for God’s hand of mercy.
I must tell you that we are weary. Yet, we are, by God’s grace, getting school accomplished, teaching our children, holding tight to each other and loving each other. Joshua and I are weathering the storms together thru prayer and tenderness. ONLY because God is with us. He is our Sustainer. Life Giver. Friend. He will provide. He will be here. Thank you so much for reading. It pleases me so to hear my kids bellow out these lyrics to Third Day’s song: Call My Name. Our anthem! To God be the glory!
