“So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” Isaiah 26:4
Good afternoon, friends,
Hosanna, in the highest…we cry out to YOU, Lord. We cry in the midst of the desert. To You, O LORD, we commit our ways.
We commit ourselves to YOU.
We lean on You.
Listening to music as I pick out pictures, I am reminded how critical it is I go back to what I know to be true.
The battle of the mind..is hard for us, is it not?
We need. No, crave peace. Can we find that without Him?
Um. Nope.
In fact, I’m living proof of that fact.
So I lean on the Word. I lean into the music that proclaims His Word. His Truth.
And I tell that roaring lion, Satan…he has no place here.
This land is Jesus’.
I’m Jesus’ kid.
I’m not who the lies whisper I am.
I’m free.
I’m Yours.
I’m not a plaything for the evil one.
We place our hope confidently in You. FOREVER.
How Great is our God. Name above all names.
18 And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship!] Isaiah 30:18
He is longing to be gracious to you.
Think of this, friends. Longing…
To show loving-kindness…
Wait for Him..
Look and long for His victory..
His favor..
His love..
His peace..
His joy…
His matchless companionship..
We are never, ever alone. His companionship is what we long for…no one can fill the longing that can be met in Him and Him alone.
Father, I cry to YOU and ask You to do what You want in my life. I give it all to You. It was always Yours anyway.
I just open my hand to You.
Cleanse me.
Renew me.
I love You, Lord…to You, O Lord. Worship Him. Adore Him. Clinging to the promise that You are not through with me yet.
