Working in this place

I begin this day, admitting my need, I need him. I need to remember truth today. I need a mind shift. Today. He is my missing peace. I just want his peace today. So, let me show you where I’ve been today in the word.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a[special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. ¹⁰ Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2: 9-10 AMP

We start with who we are in Christ.

Chosen. A royal priesthood. Consecrated (dedicate to higher purpose). Special. Own. Called out of the darkness. In his marvelous light. You are his people. You have mercy.

So, how I read this today. Me, focusing on the fear and keeping my focus down, right? I forget then. God is, with this and so many other passages, saying, daughter, lift your face. Fix your eyes. I chose you. You are mine. There is more for you than focusing on the fear and worry. Place it all in my grip. Walk into the marvelous light. You are mine. There is mercy.

I’m repeating God’s words back to him. I’m repeating truth and what happens is my heart and mind begin to breathe again. I remember truth. In the darkness of night, fears expand, but the light of morning, TRUTH.

Let there be worship today. Let there be prayer today. Let there be wonder. Approach this day as a gift.
